Rules and Conditions for Placing a Donation Request

At Genesis of Giving, we aim to provide a transparent and fair platform for individuals and organizations to raise funds for their causes. To ensure the integrity and effectiveness of our platform, the following rules and conditions apply to all donation requests:
1. General Requirements
1.1. Eligibility:
- Individuals must be at least 18 years old to submit a donation request.
- Organizations must provide proof of registration or legal status (if applicable).
1.2. Purpose of Donation Request:
- The campaign must have a clear and legitimate purpose (e.g., charitable, personal, or community projects).
- Examples of acceptable purposes: medical expenses, educational initiatives, humanitarian projects, or nonprofit activities.
- Requests for illegal or unethical activities are strictly prohibited.
1.3. Accuracy of Information:
- All details provided in the donation request must be accurate, complete, and truthful.
- Supporting documentation (e.g., invoices, project proposals) may be required to verify the legitimacy of the request.
2. Financial Terms
2.1. Service Fee:
- A 5% platform fee will be deducted from the total funds raised. This fee helps cover operational costs and improve the platform’s services.
2.2. Payment Processing Fees:
- Additional third-party payment processing fees (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) may apply and will be deducted from the funds raised.
2.3. Disbursement of Funds:
- Funds will be disbursed to the campaign creator within 14 business days after the campaign ends or reaches its goal.
- Campaign creators must provide valid payment details for fund transfers.
2.4. Refund Policy:
- Donations are non-refundable unless explicitly stated in the campaign terms or required by law.
3. Campaign Rules
3.1. Campaign Approval:
- All campaigns are subject to review and approval by Genesis of Giving.
- We reserve the right to reject or remove any campaign that violates these rules and conditions.
3.2. Campaign Duration:
- Campaign creators must specify a start and end date for their campaign.
- Campaigns cannot exceed 12 months without prior approval.
3.3. Updates and Communication:
- Campaign creators are required to provide regular updates to donors on the progress and impact of their campaign.
- Failure to communicate transparently may result in the suspension of the campaign.
3.4. Use of Funds:
- Funds raised must be used exclusively for the stated purpose of the campaign.
- Misuse of funds will result in account termination and potential legal action.
4. Prohibited Activities
4.1. Campaigns for Illegal Purposes:
- Campaigns involving fraud, money laundering, or activities prohibited by law are strictly forbidden.
4.2. Harmful or Offensive Content:
- Campaigns containing hate speech, discrimination, or other offensive material will be removed immediately.
4.3. Duplicate Campaigns:
- Duplicate campaigns for the same purpose or by the same creator are not allowed.
5. Responsibilities of Campaign Creators
5.1. Compliance with Laws:
- Campaign creators are responsible for ensuring that their campaigns comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
5.2. Tax Obligations:
- Campaign creators are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on the funds they receive.
5.3. Transparency:
- Campaign creators must be transparent about how funds will be used and provide evidence of the impact (if requested).
6. Rights of Genesis of Giving
6.1. Review and Monitoring:
- We reserve the right to review, monitor, and remove any campaign that violates these rules and conditions.
6.2. Suspension or Termination:
- We may suspend or terminate campaigns or accounts found to be in violation of these terms without prior notice.
6.3. Fee Adjustments:
- We reserve the right to adjust the platform fee with prior notice to campaign creators.
7. Dispute Resolution
7.1. Campaign Disputes:
- Disputes regarding campaigns should be resolved between the campaign creator and donors.
- Genesis of Giving is not responsible for disputes but may mediate at its discretion.
7.2. Platform Disputes:
- Any disputes involving the Platform will be resolved under the jurisdiction of The Netherlands.
8. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a donation request, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these rules and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms may result in the rejection or removal of your campaign.
