Welcome to Genesis of Giving (the “Platform”). This Platform is operated and managed by Stichting Resident Alliance, a foundation registered in The Netherlands with company number 76177130 (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using this Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these General Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our services.
2. Definitions
- Platform: Refers to the website genesisofgiving.com and its associated services.
- User: Any individual or organization accessing or using the Platform.
- Campaign Creator: A User who creates a campaign to raise funds.
- Donor: A User who contributes to a campaign.
3. Services
We provide an online crowdfunding platform that allows individuals and organizations to create and support campaigns for charitable or personal projects. Additional services include e-commerce for charitable causes, educational resources, event organization, and MVO certification programs.
4. Eligibility
To use our Platform:
- You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.
- You must provide accurate and truthful information.
- Campaigns must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Campaigns
- Approval: All campaigns are subject to review and approval by us. We reserve the right to reject campaigns that violate our policies.
- Responsibility: Campaign Creators are solely responsible for the accuracy of their campaigns, including any promised rewards or deliverables.
- Funds: Funds raised are not refundable unless explicitly stated or required by law.
6. Donations
- Donations made through the Platform are voluntary and non-refundable unless a campaign is canceled before funds are disbursed.
- We are not responsible for the misuse of funds by Campaign Creators.
7. Fees
- We charge a service fee for the use of our Platform. This fee is deducted from the total funds raised for each campaign.
- Details of fees are provided during campaign setup and are subject to change with prior notice.
8. User Conduct
Users agree to:
- Use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
- Not post any content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.
- Not engage in fraudulent activities.
9. Intellectual Property
- All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Stichting Resident Alliance or its licensors and is protected by copyright laws.
- Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute it on the Platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Platform.
- We do not guarantee the success of any campaign or the fulfillment of rewards promised by Campaign Creators.

12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform for violations of these General Conditions or other policies.
13. Governing Law
These General Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
14. Amendments
We may revise these General Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Platform signifies your acceptance of the updated terms.
